Writing Club

July 25 2024 | 5:30-7 p.m. | FREE
330 Camp Road, Charlotte, NC 28206
Join us for our writing sprints! Writing begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp and we use the pomodoro method to keep us focused. This means we write for 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break and then write for another 25 minutes. At 6:30 there's an optional half hour during which you can have others critique your writing, get feedback or just chat with other Charlotteans about writing, reading and more. Book Signing with Charlotte author Celaena Cuico

Charlotte author Celaena Cuico will be in our store signing and selling copies of her dark fantasy book, Glass & Bone, in addition to her new book, Cages & Crowns. Copies of her book will be available for purchase as well as other limited merch items. There’s no RSVP necessary - simply pop into the store to support a local author!
Silent Book Club

August 1, 2024 | 6-8 p.m. | FREE
With Silent Book Club, you show up with whatever book you're currently reading, and you sit and read it. It's that simple. From 6-6:30 folks arrive, get food and drinks and chat with each other. Then from 6:30-7:30 we read. From 7:30-8 p.m. we reopen our shop for you to browse and buy things when it's closed to the general public! Please note: we strongly recommend bringing a chair or blanket to sit on! Seating goes quick!

Book Trivia: Back To School Edition

Gather your friends and get ready to test your bookish knowledge with our monthly trivia night at Room Service! This month’s focus is “Back To School,” and we’ll have four categories: Banned Books, Classics, Middle Grade and Adapted For The Screen. The team with the best name gets a few extra points, so get creative! Registration for this event is required to ensure we have enough seating. We start at 7 p.m. sharp, so we strongly recommend arriving early so you can get seated and get your orders in before we start playing.
High Vibes Tattoo Pop-Up

High Vibes Tattoo will be popping up in our space, offering bookish flash tattoos while you shop! This event is first come, first serve, so we recommend coming by early! Tattoos are $50 for one and $75 for two.
